1 Free \u201cWelcome to Medicare<\/em>\u201d Visit–In the first 12 months you have Part B, your doctor\u2019s visit includes a review of your health, and certain screenings, shots or vaccines (flu & pneumococcal.)<\/p>\n 2 Yearly \u201cWellness\u201d Visit-<\/em>– After your first 12 months, you\u2019re also entitled to a yearly \u201cwellness\u201d visit. Basically, this is to prevent disease or disability on your current health or risk factors<\/p>\n 3 Weight Loss Programs<\/em>— Medicare will cover face to face therapy sessions to help you lose weight if you do it in a healthcare setting.<\/p>\n 4 Quitting Smoking<\/em>— Everyone on a Medicare plan, who are tobacco users, are covered for up to 8 face-to-face visits in a 12-month period.<\/p>\n 5 Alcohol Counseling<\/em>— Anyone on Medicare is covered for one alcohol misuse screening every year. If your doctor determines you are misusing alcohol or dependent on it, you can get up to 4 brief counseling sessions.<\/p>\n 6 Mobility Devices<\/em>— Medicare can cover the cost of durable medical equipment (DME\u2019s). Some examples are wheelchairs \/ scooters \/ walkers \/ hospital beds \/ oxygen \/ oxygen equipment \/ CPAP machines.<\/p>\n 7 Telemedicine<\/em>— Two-way communications like audio or video in real time are available to those on Medicare.
